Justice, Peace and Prosperity

Every government enforces justice, but not all justices are equal. There is the justice from heaven, and the justice according to the heart of man; a justice as God gives, and a justice as the world gives.

Psalms 37:30-32 The mouth of the righteous articulates wisdom, his tongue speaks justice. The Torah of his God is in his heart; his footsteps do not falter. The wicked keeps his eye on the righteous, seeking a chance to kill him.

Government, to dispense justice, must be bound by God's law. The opposite of justice is undeniably shown to be the active scheming against the righteous.

Psalms 85:9-14 Grace and truth have met together; justice and peace have kissed each other. Truth springs up from the earth, and justice looks down from heaven. ADONAI will also grant prosperity; our land will yield its harvest.

Notice the combination of Grace and Truth; and the duo Justice and Peace. When one objectively views standard politics, we see a heavy emphasis on grace and peace, but very little on truth and justice. Granted, there is much lip service to the themes truth and justice, but this is a truth and justice molded by the hands of the world system.

Everyone wants grace in the form of government support programs, but they don't want to hear the truth; that they are themselves responsible for where they are (financially), for example. Everyone wants peace, but society cannot seem to keep its hands out of neighbors' pockets scratching for loot.

For the most part, officials are secure in power as long as the economy is good. And where there is no justice and truth, there cannot be real prosperity. The prerequisite of true prosperity is truth and justice.

But this is where the trumped up prosperity plays a key roll in politics. Credit based banking systems, deficit spending, the government payroll and government contracts are the main tools for this.

We should all pray to Almighty God that truth and justice visits our land so that we can enjoy unadulterated prosperity.

Isaiah 45:8 Heavens above, rain down justice; let the clouds pour it down. Let the earth open, so that salvation springs up, and justice sprouts with it. I, ADONAI, have created it. Salvation from the evil doer is fruit of justice.
